On June 28-29, I attended the health tourism fair organized by ALZ Group at London's prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Center. Thanks to the promotional work done beforehand, this event stood apart from other fairs in many respects, and these differences made the fair truly unforgettable.
First, the large-scale advertising campaigns run in the UK before the fair began were striking. The ads placed on billboards, buses and the underground significantly boosted interest in the fair. Promotion of this kind was an indicator of how serious and professional an organization the fair was.
Around ninety exhibitors took part in the fair, which made the event quite strong. The diversity and quality of the participants contributed greatly to the fair's success. The Queen Elizabeth II Center was an excellent choice for the event; thanks to both its central location and its modern infrastructure, it offered an ideal setting for exhibitors and visitors.
From my observations, important meetings took place at the fair between patients and health tourism organizations. These meetings happened not only as B2C (Business to Consumer) but also in the form of B2B (Business to Business) events and discussions. These discussions were highly productive, and the foundations of collaborations were laid.
At this fair I had the chance to spend time with many clients, new and old. We seized collaboration opportunities for the doctor-patient meetings we hold at our UK office. As you know, through our UK company Hugs Global we are taking health tourism to a different dimension, both through the subletting model and through our one-on-one patient-doctor events. These events allow patients and doctors to come together and communicate directly, and in doing so we deliver a more effective and efficient treatment process.
I would like to draw attention to a few points that companies attending health tourism fairs should keep in mind to get the highest return from the event.
- Preparation: Invest in promotion and advertising before the fair begins. Invite your target audience to the fair.
- Professional Presentation: Make sure your stand and promotional materials look professional. First impressions matter greatly.
- Networking: Be active in both B2C and B2B meetings. Be proactive in collecting contact details and evaluating collaboration opportunities.
- Follow-up: Keep in touch with the contacts you made after the fair. After productive meetings, it is important to turn collaborations into concrete steps.
In conclusion, this health tourism fair organized by ALZ Group was highly productive for both exhibitors and visitors. The fair brought the sector's leading figures together, laid the foundations of important collaborations and offered new opportunities in health tourism. For the companies that attended, the experience we gained about how to prepare for such events will light the way to future successes.
